The Nature of God books and DVD Review

Ocean Adventures (Nature of God)Wilderness Discoveries (Nature of God)
Come explore The Nature of God in Peter Schriemer's new series.  Peter is the host of The Smithsonian's Critter Quest! and the author of Wilderness Discoveries (Nature of God) and Ocean Adventures (Nature of God) along with a set of  DVD's (featured below).  His energy and education create a delightful learning experience for children.  In Wilderness Discoveries (Nature of God) Peter takes the reader to Lake Michigan's ecosystem, the forest, northwoods and wetlands.  Each section features an array of wildlife found in those areas.  There are several color photographs, a blurb about the meaning of the creatures name, a short paragraph about that animal and a very "crazy cool fact!"  Peter introduces readers to scientific vocabulary in bold print.  He also blends in why and how God made these amazing creatures.  There are several Bible verses scattered throughout.  Ocean Adventures (Nature of God) has the same layout and explores habitats of the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii, shoreline, lowlands and upcountry.

These books are absolutely fantastic filled with fascinating facts displayed in a very kid-friendly way and always focusing on who created this nature that we enjoy- God did!  The DVD's are a great extension of what is presented in the books and Peter shows many neat aspects of God's creatures.  His love for God and nature are truly evident.  My son and I enjoyed previewing these products.  These will be a wonderful asset to our science curriculum.  Take time to watch some of this video to see just how Peter teaches young ones about the nature of God.
